Unit Cartons

City Beauty's packaging needed to evolve from a uniform navy baseline into a system that could communicate product category at a glance. The challenge was creating five visually distinct lines - each with its own color story - while maintaining a cohesive brand identity across a catalog spanning makeup, skincare essentials, targeted treatments, and devices.

The Five Product Lines:

PACKAGING SCOPE

→ Primary packaging - bottles, tubes, compacts

→ Unit cartons - makeup, skincare, devices

→ Inserts & instruction sheets

→ Mailers & secondary packaging

→ Print-ready production files

MY ROLE

→ Developed color system across five lines

→ Designed all primary & secondary packaging

→ Managed print production & vendor files

→ Collaborated with product & marketing teams

→ Maintained brand system documentation

Unit Cartons & Inserts

Every product in the City Beauty line ships with a unit carton — each designed to the same system logic as the primary packaging, with consistent typography, hierarchy, and color treatment per line. Inserts and mailers extend the brand into the unboxing moment, with copy-heavy insert sheets formatted for readability and mailer exteriors continuing the line's color identity.
